Records the INIT/SIPI finding in the form the next session can use: a startup IPI alone does not wake the application processors, and an INIT does wake them but sends them to a reset vector holding the bootloader's code, where they fault with no IDT and take the machine down. The part worth keeping is the reason the obvious fix is not a fix: the kernel cannot redirect the reset vector from its own page tables, because a released processor is in real mode with paging off and never consults them. Three ways forward are listed with the reasoning for each, and the one to try next is the only one that does not write to memory the kernel does not own. minx - A fully vibecoded OS
This is an experimental OS that is 100% AI generated, i only prompt different models. (the model is noted in the commits).
Why?
I want to see how far AI has come and how useful it can be, i take 0 credit for this and the project is under the UNLICENSE license (public domain). Feel free to use any piece off code, but keep in mind all the code is 100% AI generated.
